This is the long awaited retrospective dedicated to one of the most original and intriguing twentieth-century Belgian artists. The exhibition highlights the various periods in the artist’s development: the symbolism of his Latem and Leuven periods, the work created in Wales and in London during World War I, the expressionism of the years between 1920 and 1930 and his later work in the spirit of a new Realism.
